Sing your soul song

Fri 14th June (6pm) – Sun 16th June (4pm)

Wild Ways, Highley, Shropshire, WV16 6NJ

How does it feel to sing the song of your soul?

We’ll explore many traditions and ways of singing to find our soul songs as an individual and a group.

Ruana will guide us through forms of song and voice expression to connect our soul with nature around us, our ancestral voice and our own authentic sound.

We’ll be using forms from Collaborative Vocal Improvisation, shamanic practice, grounding in Self energy, sound healing and drawing from world traditions such as the Himba people in Namibia.

The day will start with a beautiful sound bath to wake you up gently then morning and afternoon sessions singing in our cosy workshop space, the house of the ancestors, the stone circle or exploring your own path in the natural woodland at Wild Ways. There will be some free time which you might want to use for a dip in the river. A cacoa ceremony will take place on one day and the evenings will be a mixture of songs around the fire and optional saunas.

All singing abilities welcome from beginner to professional.

Ruana has had a lifelong passion to sing and a love of land, spirit and heart based song. She has been a performer, choir leader and has led singing groups since the age of 14. She creates a safe, caring and gentle space which allows you to feel confident to sing and express yourself fully.
