Well Dressing festival in Malvern

The Song of Now CIC dresses St Ann’s Well in Malvern at the beginning of May each year to celebrate the wells and springs at the time of Beltane.

There is always a singing session around the pond, please see the Facebook page for details of the next event.

2026 – Birds

We are decorating St Ann’s Pond as An Avian Alphabet with 26 different birds for each letter of the alphabet.

2025 – Folklore and Fairytales

We dressed the well as the Folklore of Water. Dressed as Purple Heart Song Circle.

2024 – Trees

The well was dressed at the 13 Celtic birth trees. Find all 13 and their ogham signs. Dressed as Purple Heart Song Circle.

2023 Kings and Queens

We chose the king and the queen of the trees. The Oak King and the Beech Queen. Dressed as Purple Heart Song Circle.

2022 – Literature

We chose the poem ‘Dandelion’ from The Lost Words by Robert McFarlane. This was dressed as part of Creative Clusters and the first time decorating the pond rather than the spout due to it being refurbished.

2021 – Stars and Planets

We dressed the well as stars and planets from the book The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
